Priyanka offended by Mallika's comment on India
Priyanka Chopra couldn't believe her ears at what Mallika Sherawat had to say about India as a nation. Mallika Sherawat who was made an overnight star for her act in the movie "Murder" by the Indian audience doesn't seem to be much proud of her country. In an interview to Variety she was quoted saying "When I experience social freedom in America, and head to India, I find it regressive towards women. It's really depressing to see that as an independent woman." Over and above that she also expressed her displeasure of staying in India. Piggy Chopra is highly offended by Mallika's remark. She is absolutely disheartened to know that Mallika made such a comment on an International platform at the 66 Cannes film festival.
He a recent launch of a mobile application Piggy Chopra expressed her displeasure on Mallika's remark. She said "I think we are a progressive nation. I disagree that we are a regressive nation. We are all sitting here and talking about educating the girl child, taking our country forward. I think it's a misrepresentation of what our great nation is on the world platform."
Mallika we had not expected she an offensive remark form you, especially when the Indian audience is pretty accommodating of the bold roles that you portray on the big screen.
